
A Texas-based energy firm has emerged as the highest bidder in a bankruptcy court auction of Renew Energy's ethanol plant in the Town of Aztalan in southeastern Wisconsin.
Valero Renewable Fuels Company, a subsidiary of San Antonio-based Valero Energy, is expected to acquire the plant for $72 million, if the transaction is approved by federal antitrust regulators.
