The National Association of Purchasing Management-Milwaukee’s seasonally adjusted Milwaukee Index dropped below 50 for the first time in nearly four years, it was announced on April 30. It is at 49.
The Raw Index declined a point to 52. New Orders Received did not change. It is still at 52. Production rose two points to 58. Backlog dropped nine points to 47. Supplier Lead Times remained at 44.
There was no change in Blue Collar Employment. It remains at 56. White Collar Employment dropped a point to 56.
Inventory levels are down one point to 55. Capital Equipment Expenditures rose three points to 59. The Level of Purchasing Activities fell two points to 65.
The Prices Paid Index increased two points to 65.
