Rayovac Corporation is moving production of some AA and AAA alkaline batteries from Fennimore, Wis., to Ninghai, China, in 2007, resulting in the loss of 100 jobs, a company spokeswoman said on December 12.
Fifty percent of AA and 75 percent of AAA battery production at the Fennimore plant will be moved to a Rayovac plant in Ninghai, China. The Wisconsin plant has 275 employees and will have 175 when it reopens following a February shutdown.
