Ilapak to Build U.S. Manufacturing Plant

Noria news wires

Packaging equipment manufacturer Ilapak recently announced that it is expanding its U.S. manufacturing with the development of a new state-of-the-art production facility in northwest Arkansas.

The new facility will help Ilapak meet growing U.S. demand and allow the company to extend the range of solutions it manufactures in the United States.

"We've always tailored our solutions to reflect our customers' specific needs in different parts of the world," says Ilapak's Guy Levy. "We are now taking this approach to the next level with a wider range of U.S.-made Ilapak solutions manufactured in a brand new world-class facility."

The 80,000-square-foot facility will be centrally located in Lowell, Arkansas, in close proximity to the local airport and major transportation corridor. The new temperature-controlled manufacturing area will enable Ilapak to test conditions closer to a customer's own factory conditions.

The facility will also house a research and development team focused on engineering solutions for the North American market, as well as a quick-response service center and a customer innovation and demonstration area. An additional 20,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity is also planned to allow for expansion in line with the company's growth strategy.

Headquartered in Switzerland, Ilapak also operates three manufacturing plants in Italy, Switzerland and China.
