Toyota worldwide vehicle production in November declined 7.8% vs. 2009 levels

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) on December 24 announced its production, domestic sales and export results, including those for subsidiaries Daihatsu Motor Company Ltd. and Hino Motors Ltd., for November 2010.

  • Lexus-vehicle sales totaled 1,938 units (58.0 percent decrease)
  • 48.6% share of market excluding minivehicles (3.2% decrease)


Daihatsu

  • Decrease
  • Minivehicle sales totaled approximately 40,300 units (20.1% decrease)
  • 33.5% share of minivehicle market (1.8% decrease)


Hino

  • Decrease
  • Standard-truck sales totaled approximately 1,400 units (18.3% decrease)
  • 38.0% share of the truck* market (3.9% increase)


Toyota + Daihatsu + Hino

  • Decrease
  • 43.9% share of market including minivehicles (3.3% decrease); first decrease in two months

EXPORTS
Toyota: Decrease, due to decreased exports to North America, Oceania and the Middle East

Daihatsu: Decrease, due to decreased exports to Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Europe

Hino: Thirteenth consecutive month of increase, due to increased exports to Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe and Africa

Toyota: First increase in three months, due to increased production in South Africa, Asia and other regions

Daihatsu: Thirteenth consecutive month of increase, due to increased production in Indonesia and other regions

Hino: Third consecutive month of increase, due to increased production in Asia
