The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), both ANSI members and accredited standards developers, have introduced a new American National Standard on the inspection and maintenance of HVAC systems.

Addressing the inconsistent management of HVAC systems within the building industry, ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA Standard 180-2008, Standard Practice for Inspection and Maintenance of Commercial Building HVAC Systems, introduces a consistent level of inspection and maintenance that will guarantee thermal comfort, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality in commercial buildings.
