Lower Costs through Green HVAC

For years, environmentalists have been pushing for changes to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) standards, hoping to make them less harmful for the environment. While creating a safer environment is great, in the business world, money talks.

If you own a business, a large chunk of your business dollar is probably going to heating and cooling. However, there are many actions you can take to not only make your building's heating and cooling systems more eco-friendly and energy efficient but also save you money.

Any time you can lessen the load on your HVAC system while maintaining the building's internal temperature will obviously save you some dough, but it isn't all about the machinery. There are things you can do — or encourage your tenants to do — beyond HVAC maintenance to get more ecological benefit from your money while managing your energy costs.
