Equipment from former Hoover plant in Ohio to be sold

RP news wires, Noria Corporation

Techtronic Industries Floor Care North America has chosen Solon, Ohio-based Stopol Inc. to sell the plant equipment of the former Hoover manufacturing facility in North Canton, Ohio.

Stopol is a full-service plastics industry resource that sells and services new and used equipment, provides auction and liquidation management, and offers appraisal services and merger and acquisition consulting.

Stopols team of plastics machinery sales executives will actively market and sell the entire plants contents, including more than 80 injection molding machines, a variety of auxiliary equipment, fork trucks, robots, tools, accessories and office equipment. For a comprehensive listing of all available items or more information, visit the equipment index at www.stopol.com.

The buyers of such equipment predominantly are smaller plastics processing operations looking to acquire highly desired equipment at cost-effective prices, said Stopol chief executive officer Neil Kruschke Jr. These machines cant run themselves, so the company that acquires the machinery often has to add employees. This is an opportunity for the smaller injection molders to increase their capacity and technical capabilities while positioning themselves to capture additional market share.”

TTI Floor Care North America announced on April 2 that it was permanently discontinuing manufacturing operations at Hoovers 101 E. Maple Street factory in North Canton. Some of the jobs previously housed at the North Canton facility are relocating to Glenwillow, a southeast Cleveland suburb where TTI has established its North American headquarters and is building a global research and design center.
