Titan Global Holdings Inc., a high-growth diversified holding company, on August 9 announced the execution of a definitive option agreement to purchase 80 percent of the outstanding stock of USA Detergents Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of quality essential home products such as laundry care, household cleaners and personal care items.
Titan will manage USAD’s operations during the 60-day option period and Titan will guarantee bridge financing up to $1.5 million for USAD’s continuing operations. During the 60-day option period, Titan has the right to exercise its option to purchase 80 percent of the outstanding stock in exchange for providing the referenced bridge financing.
USAD’s brands include Xtra, Arm & Hammer, Aim, Close-up, Pepsodent, Betty Crocker, Snapple, Fine Care, Brillo, Touch of Glass, Fabulous and Oxymax. Consistent with the distribution focus of Titan’s other divisions, USAD’s distribution footprint serves small and mid-sized retailers, wholesalers and distributors that serve metropolitan areas in the
