MicroMain Corporation, a leading provider of asset and facility management software and services, on May 30 announced the release of Version 7.1 of its MicroMain computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) system.

"With MicroMain 7.1, we're focusing even more on our customers' experience using the software," said Pat Conroy, president of MicroMain. "We're taking what we learned in our recent, in-depth customer engagements to provide the kind of system users need and the kind of control users want.

"Our customers are now able to get what's needed in record time. They can easily use the software with various technologies, including third-party software, hardware, new data deployment and customized interfaces. And, equally important for both managers and maintenance technicians, they can control the way they see their work and provide visibility to that work within their organization."

The mobile capability in MicroMain 7.1 addresses all key factors — faster performance, enhanced interoperability and new visibility. With enhanced functionality and a new wireless option, maintenance technicians can select work orders faster, transfer data anywhere and make better decisions in increasing productivity.

In addition to new mobile functionality, MicroMain 7.1 enables maintenance departments to post work order information to a Microsoft Outlook calendar. A new interface also allows users to easily identify assets, buildings, and properties available for pick lists for tenants, students, staff, customers or others submitting service requests via the Web.

Many enhancements in this latest version of maintenance management software are designed to give users more control in using the program in the way that makes the most sense for their organization. Not only do new standard alerts give users more selection, for example, enhanced setting options also allow users to edit and configure alerts. Version 7.1 provides many additional view, search, and filter options, as well.
