Federal Signal completes sale of plant in Alberta

Federal Signal Corporation on December 6 announced that the sale of its E-ONE production facility in Red Deer, Alberta, to Copper Core Ltd. has been completed. The company received proceeds of approximately $2.5 million for the facility and related assets. Production has wound down and fire rescue vehicle customers in Canada will now be supplied from E-ONE's facility in Ocala, Fla.

"The sale of the Red Deer facility is consistent with our strategy to streamline and optimize our manufacturing footprint to advance our competitive edge in the fire industry," said Marc F. Gustafson, president of E-ONE. "Thank you to our dedicated and determined employees in Red Deer who offered seamless support to customers through this transition. We wish them the best."
