CAPS Research publishes its Industrial Manufacturing Industry Benchmarking Metric Report 2010 containing key supply management performance measures including organizational structure, professional development, financial information and supplier relationships and alliances. Also included are metrics concerning supply management operating expense and total managed spend relating to eleven different global regions. Key metrics are reported on thirteen performance measures relating to supplier rating systems/processes.

The industrial manufacturing companies who participated in the survey all reported that they include supplier quality, on-time delivery, and cost reduction in their supplier rating system/process, and rate these supplier measures as being very important. These three measures scored 4.3 on a 5.0 scale. Conversely, third-party approved quality assurance programs were the lowest rated measure reported, scoring only 2.7 on a 5.0 scale.

The Industrial Manufacturing Industry Benchmarking Metric Report 2010 is available on the CAPS Research public Web site www.capsresearch.org. First-time visitors will be prompted to register to access the benchmarking reports.
