The first Jungheinrich brand products manufactured by Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA) for Jungheinrich AG are off the line and ready for distribution as a result of the August 2009 manufacturing and distribution agreement between the two companies.

The 3,000- to 5,500-pound stand-up end control lift truck and 2,500- to 4,500-pound reach truck are among the first Houston-built Jungheinrich brand products to debut, with others expected in 2011.

Per the terms of the agreement, which went into effect in January 2010, Jungheinrich will design products through its newly established Design Center Houston located on the MCFA campus, with products being distributed exclusively through MCFA’s dealer network in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“It’s exciting to see the results of the agreement materializing,” said Jeff Rufener, vice president of marketing, MCFA. “Having the first new products roll off the line makes us very optimistic about the future.”
