EPA, Visteon settle on hazardous waste violations

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 has settled with Visteon Corporation for alleged violations of hazardous waste regulations at its Milan and Utica plants in Michigan.

Visteon's plastic-producing facility at 800 County Street in Milan and the trim plant at 50500 Mound Road in Shelby Township, Utica, were cited for failing to perform integrity assessments of newly installed hazardous waste tank systems. EPA assessed penalties of $25,000 and $5,000, respectively.
