Diagnosing a boiler pump motor with an ultrasound detector

RP news wires

In this video, a maintenance technician uses the UL101, an ultrasound detector, to diagnose a thrust and non-thrust bearing in an injector boiler pump motor. He places the UL101 on the grease fitting and adjusts the UL101's gain to the lowest possible setting. Lowering the gain setting will isolate the ultrasound to only the bearing being tested. Maintenance teams use the UL101, ultrasound detector, for quick troubleshooting on mechanical components.
