IBM releases latest in 'Future of Work' podcast series

IBM announced that the 11th podcast in the series "IBM and the Future of . . ." has been posted on its investor Web site. The podcast is called "IBM and the Future of Work."

"IBM and the Future of Work" discusses how changing technology and demographics will affect patterns of work in developed and developing countries, and the emerging skills of the future. As work evolves, companies and employees will have to deal with the blurring of traditional boundaries between work and family life, between offices and remote locations, between manager and employee, and between nationalities and cultures in the global economy.

The podcast is hosted by Jennifer Crozier and features a discussion with J. Randall MacDonald, IBM's senior vice president for human resources and Eric L. Lesser, who is human capital management leader in IBM Business Consulting Services.

The podcast will be available on IBM's investor Web site, at http://www.ibm.com/investor/viewpoint/podcast/27-03-06-1.phtml.

While the current information on its investor Web site is largely historical, IBM's podcast series discusses both general technology trends and IBM innovations in a variety of emerging business and technology areas.

Future topics will include "IBM and the Future of . . ." television, commuting and the corporation.
