ToolingU.com partners with Learn.com on manufacturing training

Toolingu.com, a leading provider of online training for the manufacturing industry, is partnering with Learn.com, a leading provider of on-demand workforce development and productivity to train individuals on a range of manufacturing essentials. Toolingu.com's content will be delivered through Learn.com's Personal Edition (LPE) training portal.

Through this partnership, Toolingu.com and Learn.com will host, deliver and track 19 job profiles in specific industry segments including aerospace, medical equipment, construction and natural gas. The job profiles are organized into common professional jobs such as machinists, maintenance professionals, assemblers and welders.

Learn.com's LPE portal helps Toolingu.com reach a new market.

According to Chad Schron, vice president of Toolingu.com, "We needed a way to reach out to the general consumer instead of the entire business as we do now. Learn.com provides us with that vehicle."

Schron added that Learn.com’s portal would allow individuals to prepare for certifications such as the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification.
