Raytheon is No. 5 on the list of Top 50 Employers for Persons with Disabilities, announced yearly by CAREERS & the disABLED Magazine. Readers were asked to name employers, in the private and public sectors, which they would most like to work for or believe would provide a progressive environment for people with disabilities. Raytheon’s No. 5 ranking is a significant improvement over previous years (No.14 in 2008 and No. 36 in 2007). This continuous advancement is a testament to Raytheon’s commitment to creating an environment where all employees can achieve their fullest potential. Raytheon is also positioned as the leader among defense and aerospace companies.
Dave Wajsgras, senior vice president and chief financial officer, is the executive sponsor of the Raytheon Persons with Disabilities Association (RPDA). RPDA is a strategic partner across the company helping to facilitate a fully accessible and supportive workplace for employees.
“Raytheon continues to raise awareness of the significant contributions made by employees with disabilities,” said Wajsgras. “This honor recognizes the company’s commitment to creating opportunities for all employees to participate and contribute.
