Toyota working to green its auto painting process

Toyota's Tsutsumi plant in Japan has solar panels, grass growing on the roof and ivy crawling on walls. The Japanese carmaker wants to be as known for green manufacturing as it is for the easy-on-the-gasoline Prius hybrid.

 

Under the company's latest drive to make its lean production even leaner, it has also achieved a breakthrough in technology for painting vehicles, a senior executive said recently.
