Pella Corporation has been named to Fortune magazine's list of "Global Top Companies for Leaders." The complete list of leading companies and related stories appears in the October 1 issue of Fortune, available on newsstands September 24 and now available online at http://www.Fortune.com/.

This marks the second prestigious Fortune ranking in 2007 recognizing Pella as a great place to work and also as an outstanding work environment for leaders. Fortune also named Pella to its "The 100 Best Companies to Work For" list announced in January.

Pella achieved this recognition based on the exceptional way in which it provides leadership opportunities and a quality work environment for team members.

Pella Corporation president and CEO Mel Haught said the latest Fortune honor is a reflection of a work environment where developmental opportunities are abundant and team members are valued, appreciated and heavily involved in driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

"We're extremely proud of the leadership demonstrated daily by each of Pella's 10,600 team members and the reputation they've earned for quality and innovation in satisfying our customers' window and door needs," Haught said. "We're especially pleased that our customers and an objective third party like Fortune recognize the strength of our company and the collective talents of our team members."

Sponsored by global human resources services company Hewitt Associates, in partnership with the RBL Group, and Fortune magazine, the "Top Companies for Leaders" were selected and ranked by a panel of judges based on leadership practices, company reputation, leadership culture and values and business performance.

Pella Corporation is a leader in designing, testing, manufacturing and installing quality windows and doors for new construction, remodeling and replacement applications. Pella earned the U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Star Partner of the Year award for windows in 2007 for its leadership in manufacturing energy-efficient windows and educating consumers about them. Pella also earned the 2007 J.D. Power and Associates award for "Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Window and Door Manufacturers."
