Just in time for Father's Day, Jockey is revealing men's opinions on uncomfortable underwear situations. A survey released June 12 on behalf of Jockey International revealed that the vast majority of men (73 percent) have experienced an uncomfortable underwear situation, such as a wedgie, sagging fabric or scratchy tags.
Additional survey findings include:
Wedgie woes: When it comes to unfavorable underwear situations, men complain of wedgies the most (46 percent); coming in at a close second was elastic stretching out too much around the waist or legs (40 percent); and scratchy tags or tags that stick out, ranked third (36 percent).
In the hot seat: The survey also revealed men's opinions on the most embarrassing places to have to make an "underwear adjustment", with the No. 1 answer being at a job interview (45 percent). Adjusting at a romantic dinner or a business meeting came in at a distant second and third place (21 percent and 18 percent, respectively). Surprisingly, making an adjustment while meeting your significant other's parents for the first time came in fourth place (11 percent).
Age matters: Lastly, it was found that when it comes to underwear issues, younger men, ages 18-34, complain that wedgies are their most uncomfortable underwear situation, while men over the age of 55 complain most about elastic stretching out at the waist or legs.
