George Dettloff has been named president and chief executive officer of SKF USA Inc., headquartered in
In addition to his new responsibilities, Dettloff remains president of the SKF Automotive Division-North America, where he has served since January 2004.
Dettloff brings 30 years of operational experience to his new position, where he will coordinate activities for the SKF Group’s U.S.-based operations.
Dettloff will report directly to Tom Johnstone, president and CEO of parent AB SKF and becomes a member of the SKF Group Management team.
Dettloff joined SKF in June 2000 as president of the company’s bearing seals business and previously held senior management positions with leading automotive-related companies. He earned his masters degree in Business Administration from the
AB SKF (headquartered in
SKF has 100 production sites worldwide and employs almost 40,000. Company operations have been newly organized globally under Automotive, Industrial, and Service divisions.
