NSG Group Plans New U.S. Manufacturing Plant

NSG Group recently announced the location of its new glass production plant in the United States as part of the company’s plan to expand capacity and support the growing solar market. The 500,000-square-foot facility will be located in Troy Township, Ohio. Construction will begin in spring 2019, with the plant expected to be operational in the second half of 2020.

"Our company has a rich tradition in the glass industry and strong roots in Ohio, and we are pleased to expand our U.S. glass manufacturing here," said Richard Altman, NSG Group’s regional director of architectural glass in North America.

The new float glass line will be the company’s first in the United States since 1980 and is projected to create 125 to 150 new jobs.
