Michigan manufacturer hurt by credit crisis

RP news wires, Noria Corporation

Congressman Mark Schauer (D-Michigan) offers a speech on the House floor about RTD Manufacturing, a Jackson, Mich., firm that is ready to hire more workers for a project contracted through the U.S. Army to build components that will keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan safe. However, Citizens Bank - which has received $300 million in federal bailout funds - has delayed RTD's loan to buy $85,000 worth of steel to complete this project. Rep. Schauer is fighting to make sure RTD doesn't lose out on this opportunity to create jobs and keep our soldiers safe.
