Swagelok Company recently announced the availability of Swagelok University, an online program consisting of more than 100 technical, self-paced courses. Developed by instructional designers and training professionals who have researched and worked with subject matter experts, courses are specially designed for today’s fluid systems marketplace.

Swagelok University is designed to enhance and complement established training structures within an organization. The online coursework is accessible 24/7, wherever an Internet connection is available. Course content includes general technical topics; scientific fundamentals; safety; plant science; industry-specific topics; and product information. Industry-specific coursework focuses on analytical instrumentation, bioprocessing, and alternative fuels.

“Swagelok University provides flexible, cost-effective access to technical training that can help users identify opportunities to improve fluid system solutions, as well as develop a stronger, more competitive workforce,” said Mike Butkovic, vice president of marketing, Swagelok. “It is a natural extension of our live training events and is another demonstration of our commitment to help customers.”

The program has built-in functionality that records individual training activity and progress, enabling users to easily monitor their usage and progress. The reporting function displays not only completed courses, but results from testing that is incorporated into the courses.

Two levels of access are available, allowing customers to choose what types of courses and content are relevant to their workforce. Level I access provides courses mainly focused on products and applications. Level II access includes level one courses, plus additional market-specific, application, and safety coursework.

Subscriptions are valid for one year from date of activation and are renewable. Swagelok is now offering complimentary trial subscriptions, offering full access to a selection of courses for a period of 30 days. Customers interested in obtaining a trial subscription should contact their authorized Swagelok sales and service center.
