Lockheed Martin lauds top employees at Akron plant

Lockheed Martin recently honored three employees from its Akron, Ohio, facility as top performers in its 13,000-person Maritime Systems and Sensors business, which has locations around the United States. The awards recognized significant achievements during 2008.

 

“Our Evening of Stars celebration is about recognizing the ‘best-of-the-best’ and the value you bring to our corporation every day,” Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors president Fred P. Moosally told nearly 300 guests at an event in Washington, D.C. “You set the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior, along with making customer satisfaction a top priority in everything you do. I am honored to serve on the same team with you.”

 

During the event, Ricardo Perez, of Stark County, was recognized for showing significant potential, achieving excellent performance and demonstrating contemporary leadership skills as part of Lockheed Martin’s Executive Assessment and Development program.

 

Steven Sinsabaugh, of Stark County, was named a Lockheed Martin Fellow, a distinction that recognizes and encourages the highest levels of accomplishment of individuals in technical careers. The title of Lockheed Martin Fellow is limited to 1 percent of the corporation’s technical employee population.

 

Nicholas Vitalbo, of Summit County, was recognized for his exemplary communication and leadership skills while working on Lockheed Martin’s One Shot laser sighting program. Vitalbo received a 2008 Evening of Stars Individual Award, which is given to employees who demonstrate outstanding leadership and prove themselves central to the success of the business.
