Nordson Corporation on January 30 reported the retirement of Robert “Andy” Dunn, 61, corporate senior vice president of the company’s Advanced Technology Systems segment. Chairman, CEO and president Edward P. Campbell additionally announced new roles for current members of Nordson’s leadership team as part of an orderly transition.
Effective immediately, John J. Keane, 48, corporate senior vice president and leader of the company’s Adhesive Dispensing Systems segment, moves to the Advanced Technology Systems segment where he will lead Nordson’s Asymtek, March Plasma Systems, YESTech and Picodostec businesses. Peter Lambert, 49, corporate vice president, will continue to lead Nordson’s other Advanced Technology Systems businesses, and will report directly to Campbell. James DeVries, 49, current vice president, global business development for Adhesive Dispensing Systems, will become vice president, North America Adhesive Dispensing Systems. Corporate vice president Michael Groos, 57, will continue to lead the Adhesive Dispensing Systems business in Europe.
Commenting on Dunn’s retirement after 37 years, Campbell said, “Andy Dunn has had a remarkable career at Nordson. Over the course of nearly four decades, he has consistently helped to guide Nordson’s expansion, both geographically and technologically, and his achievements are numerous. He especially deserves credit for his leadership of Nordson’s Advanced Technology segment, which has grown from being a small and narrowly focused niche business to one today that is a diversified, global portfolio of market leading businesses that amounts to approximately one third of the company’s total revenues. We thank Andy for his many years of service to Nordson, and we wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement.”
“While Andy will be missed, I am extremely comfortable with the strength of our management team and the leadership transitions we are making,” Campbell continued. “John Keane has deep and broad experience in a wide variety of Nordson technologies and end markets, and in his new role, I am confident he will guide Advanced Technology businesses to continued long-term profitable growth. Jim DeVries has proven to be a talented and effective leader over his 23 years with Nordson, and I am pleased we will be able to leverage his experience in an expanded role as the leader of our North American Adhesive Dispensing business.”
