GE helps Ariens put the green in lawn care

Over the last few days, General Electric has turned the spotlight on GE Capital, having heard from real-life customers who have partnered with the Capital team to expand their businesses, become more competitive — and to create and preserve jobs. In the last of our three-part focus on financing, we hear from the folks at Ariens Company, which is manufacturer of outdoor power equipment based in Brillion, Wis., that employs about 1,200. “GE and Ariens Company have been together for at least 30 years,” says Daniel Ariens, president and CEO, in the video below. “Our roots are really in inventing and bringing new products to life,” he says, pointing to their innovative Amp Rider mower that unlike traditional riding mowers, produces no emissions and is 50 percent quieter because it’s electric.
