Toyota Lift Trucks Ranked Safest in Material Handling Study

Noria news wires

According to a recent study on lift-truck safety conducted by the Peerless Research Group, Toyota Material Handling U.S.A. (TMHU) ranked No. 1 in safety with the fewest safety-related incidents and the most affordable lift trucks to maintain in terms of safety for the fourth consecutive year.

"Toyota is committed to the issue of safety," said Jeff Rufener, president of TMHU. "Toyota's forklifts offer a number of ergonomic, productivity and durability features, and most importantly, the industry's leading safety technology, Toyota's system of active stability. We are proud our forklifts consistently rank highest in safety."

The study was conducted with qualified readers of Modern Materials Handling magazine to better understand and track which lift-truck safety factors are most important and which companies are regarded as manufacturers of the safest lift trucks. Those surveyed were selected from subscribers who are involved in the use, evaluation and purchase of lift trucks and lift-truck accessories.

As a division of Peerless Media, Peerless Research Group specializes in marketing and media research solutions for material handling, logistics and supply chain marketers.

In addition to a full line of lift trucks, TMHU offers extended industrial equipment solutions including automated guided vehicles and scissor lifts.
