SMRP seeks candidates for director of membership services

The Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals is seeking an experienced volunteer leader to serve as the SMRP member services director. The MS director is responsible for facilitating meetings, as well as understanding and communicating the board’s vision, mission and goals. The successful volunteer leader will manage and oversee the member services budget, recruit fellow volunteer members to the committees, report actions to the board, recommend policy, coordinate closely with the board and maintain/update the strategic plan as it relates to membership.

The member services director oversees the Membership Committee, the Communications Committee, the Industry Partner Relations Committee, and Component Development Committee which includes chapter and special interest group development. The director is also a member of the board of directors and attends the board’s meeting, either in person or by teleconference. This position is vital to the organization and the successful volunteer will be willing to devote 10 to 15 hours per month to this position. To be eligible to apply, you must be a member of SMRP and be a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
