Productivity, energy efficiency for food/beverage industry

Siemens is exhibiting its range of products for producers and mechanical equipment manufacturers in the food and beverage industry at the Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, Germany, from March 10 to 13, 2009. The focus is on products and solutions for high system productivity and energy efficiency.

These include the Simatic PCS 7 standard multi-industry process control system with "Dairy Libraries" that make it especially suitable for dairies, and modular automation solutions designed for the bakery and confectionery industry. The range on exhibit also includes the Optimized Packaging Line, our filling and packaging line concept based on product, interface and automation standards, the Simatic IT Unilab laboratory information management system, energy management items - such as the b.data energy management system, and efficient engineering concepts for system and machine construction.

The Siemens presentation is rounded off by exhibits for visitors from dairies and bakeries, and for producers of soft drinks and chocolate.
