Miami Children's Hospital president and CEO Dr. Narendra Kini has been instrumental in introducing to the hospital the lean business improvement model. The hospital has been examining clinical processes throughout the organization, bringing about tangible results for patients and their families, including shorter wait times and faster registration processes. The Miami Children's Hospital family has truly embraced lean. Together, the hospital looks ahead to continuously improving the care experience, Dr. Kini said.

Miami Childrens Hospital (MCH) was presented four awards recognizing the organization for its business improvement practices during the 2009 Global Six Sigma & Business Improvement Awards annual awards ceremony, held October 14 in Orlando, Fla.
